Welcome to Resilient York news

RESILIENT YORK is a partnership project between the University of York’s Centre for Conservation Studies, York Civic Trust and York Conservation Alumni Association, and assisted by the Two Ridings Community Foundation. The project was established in 2016 as a response to the 2015 Boxing Day floods in York.

Our aim is to offer real, tangible initiatives where conservation expertise and good practice can be used effectively in order to help communities in York following future flooding. In this way, lessons learnt from previous flooding and the conference we hosted in the King’s Manor, York, in November 2016 have the potential to minimise the impact of York’s future floods.

News updates of future research and initiatives that result from the conference will be added here. Please bookmark this page to receive the latest news from Resilient York.
